There have been put up some routes, but rangers once removed all bolts, apparently after an accident. It seems activities are going on again as people say there are new routes or new bolts. Some routes are supposed to be forbidden, some are allowed. Better do not ask the rangers. We are currently waiting for more information.

  • Location: In the national park Cerro La Campana, see map Overview Santiago
  • Access: From Santiago take bus to Olmue, where the entrance of the park is, walk 1-2h, or take 4-wheel drive car until la mina, there is said to drinkable water. Camping in the national park (expensive!)
  • Rock: Granite covered by vegetation, mainly solid though not beautiful
  • Routes: ca. 10
  • Grades: 5.5-5.11
  • Characteristics: Faces and slabs
  • Height: Until 300m
  • Equipment: Cams, bolts have once been removed by the rangers
  • Season: Nov. to april, hot in summer, slippery in wet conditions
